Why You Should Continuing Learning

Why You Should Continuing Learning

BD at Dress For Success Twin Cities

Part of my daily routine is learning from other creatives outside of the studio.  The best advice I can share is to learn from other people who are living the way you want.  You can’t get the lifestyle, home, or career success from those who aren’t there.  Aim higher.  Those who have what you want, have it because they did something to get there.

Having your own business, brand, or career success require the right kind of action.  And because of the laws of the universe everyone in the world...

Evolution of An Idea Into a Business

Evolution of An Idea Into a Business

From creating characters to represent diversity and stop the ignorance of bullies, this artist is rebranding her idea.  Those who let an idea evolve and let it grow into a brand or business understand not only the hard work, but the time when something changes.  Your one baby has grown.
I've been a one woman show for a while and it's been filled with all kinds of ups and downs.  Taking an idea and growing it into a business is hard.  Sometimes, you may want to give.  Sometimes, creators have trouble letting go of their original idea but...

I think too many snow storms toward what was supposed to be the beginning of spring really made me appreciate all things associated with summer.  Bright colors and characters really called to me.  I stepped outside my usual book characters and ventured into my version of a rockin' unicorn and an Elvis inspired pig.

My eyes started to pay attention to more than colors...

Not All Art Is Serious

Not All Art Is Serious

As my designs grow, I had to create something that made me smile.  Being a lover of Korean Dramas or K-Dramas, I laughed so hard at a conversation in one of the episodes.  Growing up in America, I'm learning some of the expressions used around the word.

Last night was the was first time I heard an expression for someone's who's too stubborn in Korean.  The translated word is "Dunce Monkey".  My husband was probably wondering why I was laughing at 2:00 in the morning.  I was up late designing and put on a K-Drama in the background.  I...
