Fall Events

This year my husband and I went a little event crazy.  With the holidays coming up, you think we would take a breather but everyone in the art and craft world knows it’s the busiest time of year.  We have shows and events planned every other weekend and I’m feeling the rush to create.

As creators of 3D designs and polymer clay miniatures we’ve taken extra thinking time to combine our art forms into one.  My husband now designs and 3D prints my miniature furniture and displays.  Our goal is to challenge ourselves on ways to mix our two different...

YouTube Channel 1UP

YouTube Channel 1UP

This weekend my husband and I thought it was time to start a new YouTube channel and refresh our ThinkCutie brand.  Let’s just say that our old videos looked like experiments and they weren’t combined, so we started fresh.

The hardest part of our journey in 2023 wasn’t coming up with new creations or making them.  It was remembering to hit the record button.  Following other artists all around the world I wanted to hide my channel.

Just like all of our other experiences as artists we took what we learned over the years we did our best to...

Spring Planning

Spring Planning

My husband and I have been busy going to art and craft events all over the Twin Cities since February.  Right now, we’re busy working hard to prepare for for Geek Craft Expo in Minneapolis at the end of April.

We are combining some new 3D printed designs with polymer clay miniatures and some new jewelry pieces.  This year we really challenged ourselves in what we could create and we’re excited to share our new designs.  Some may pop up in our online store but the big launch day is at the Expo on April 22nd and 23rd.  See...

Spring Store Update

Spring Store Update

This year it’s time for a change!  At the start of the year, I’ve been working hard on creating new products for my store.  This Spring, I’m going to launch some new handmade miniature sculptures, new 3D designed pieces (created in my studio), and new printed products.  This year is about being brave and creating the kind of store that I’ve always shopped in at the mall or online.

Of course, a new launch of products means pushing myself to the limit.  Luckily, I’ve found other creators on TikTok and other social media channels that have gone through the...

This fall our artist is busy creating miniature worlds and adding to her miniature sculpture artist collection.  Mahieu's workshop desk is filled with needle tools, clay, and tiny facets that require a delicate touch.  Needle by needle she miniature houses and realistic looking earrings are being created.

Are artist's advice this month - try something new.  One way to grow your creative side and your skill level is to try new mediums and materials.  Our artist started out with using oils and acrylics before she went digital.  Now, she's trying old fashioned 3-D - clay sculpture but scaled down to...
